Please read all warnings before operating your printer with TYSON modifications.
¶ Before installation and first use
- Please read the entire manual before using printer modifications. Improper use can harm the user or significantly damage the equipment.
- Please read all the instructions and warnings thoroughly to ensure safe operation.
- Operating a printer at higher temperatures is at the user's own risk. Please complete all necessary hardware modifications before setting to high temperatures.
- Before beginning disassembly, make sure that your 3D printer is off and has cooled down since its last use. Unplug it before handling wiring. During the bed-positioning steps, keep clear of exposed wiring and disconnect power again before continuing assembly.
Follow the installation guide for your printer, then Software Setup.
¶ Chamber heating and cooling
- Using the TYSON Hat chamber heater for temperatures above 60°C requires modifications to your printer. Complete all necessary hardware modifications before setting to high temperatures.
- Never block the side fans of the TYSON Hat, and ensure that they can receive proper airflow.
- Never turn off the TYSON Hat while it is hot. Let it cool down before unplugging or turning off.
- Closing the browser does not turn heating off. Turn the heater off through the dashboard and let the system cool.
See Chamber Heater Settings and chamber controls.
¶ Calibration and stopping heat
- Calibration heats up to 450°C. Stay with the printer, since closing the page does not cancel the run. Use Calibrate All only with hardware suitable for all five presets.
- A stop request is not a physical power cutoff; confirm that heating has stopped and use the printer's controls or power switch if it has not.
- PID Auto-Tune heats the bed. Stay with the printer and use a tuning temperature appropriate for the installed bed.
See Auto-Calibration, Calibration and backups, and Troubleshooting.
¶ Heater power and backups
- The supply voltage selection does not measure or change the real supply voltage. Use power settings appropriate for the installed heater, SSR, fuse, and wiring. Re-tune bed PID after changing supply voltage or power settings.
- Use calibration backups only with the same printer and unchanged heater, sensor, and wiring. Restore the matching hotend mapping before its preset calibration.
See Heater power settings and Restore backups.
Allow the Hat to fully cool before handling. Shut off and unplug it before removing or replacing the top panel. If power is restored to operate the BOOT button, DO NOT TOUCH ANY WIRES.
A factory reset removes saved network settings, account credentials, developer access, and custom calibration. Follow Reset to Factory Defaults only when needed.
