Calibration connects the readings shown by Bambu to the actual temperature measured by Tyson. This software guide describes the controls in firmware 3.10.4. Complete the model-specific hardware installation and inspection before starting; the P2S installation guides are available. Do not apply them to other printer models.
Electrical mapping and heated calibration are different operations. A mapping test learns the temperature signal relationship. Hotend preset calibration and bed PID Auto-Tune actively heat hardware. Stay with the printer during a heated calibration, and follow the limits for the installed kit.
WARNING: Calibration heats up to 450°C. Stay with the printer, since closing the page does not cancel the run. A stop request is not a physical power cutoff; confirm that heating has stopped and use the printer's controls or power switch if it has not.
A missing electrical mapping is measured before the heated preset sequence. Calibrate Mapping runs the electrical mapping separately. Clear Mapping removes that mapping and its dependent preset calibration, so those presets must be calibrated again.
Calibrate All can heat through all five presets, including 450°C. Only use it with a fully installed kit approved for that complete range. A run can take hours because it includes heating, measurement, and cooldowns. Closing the browser does not stop calibration; use Cancel or Stop Nozzle and wait for the status to confirm the stop.
Completed presets are saved individually. An interruption does not require throwing away every completed result. The interface offers a resume action when appropriate; it does not automatically restart a heating sequence after a fault or reboot.
Changing the electrical mapping or printer identity can invalidate dependent preset results. X2D sides have separate results and backup identities. Do not restore one side's backup onto the other.
Bed mapping calibration is an electrical test with the bed heater off. It is not a heated sweep. One successful mapping supports the 110:110, 110:165, and 110:220 presets. Changing between these presets does not itself require another mapping calibration.
If Calibrate or Enable Bed Control is unavailable, check the displayed status, connection, zero target, sensor readings, unsaved changes, and whether another calibration is running. Do not use a reset to bypass a failed prerequisite.
PID Auto-Tune measures the heating behavior of the physical bed. It is separate from the bed's electrical mapping.
Cancel Tuning or Stop Bed ends the test without replacing previously saved gains. A failed or interrupted tune does not resume after reboot. Re-tune after changes to supply voltage or heater power settings because those changes alter the bed's heating response.
The bed calibration backup described below contains mapping and the selected temperature preset. It does not include the bed PID mode, gains, or control settings. Record those separately if you need a complete configuration record.
Store backups with a note identifying the printer, installed heater/sensor, and date.

On X2D, select and back up each hotend separately. These versioned JSON files are not firmware and are not complete Wi-Fi/printer-settings backups.
Use a backup only for the same printer serial with unchanged heater, sensor, and wiring. A replacement HAT can restore matching calibration after that printer is configured. Do not use another printer's calibration as a shortcut around commissioning.
Uploads replace the saved calibration but do not enable heating. Replacing a hotend mapping with a different one clears its old preset results; uploading the same mapping preserves compatible presets. Invalid files or a failed save are reported next to the transfer controls.
